Designed for portability, the dynamic Audio-Technica headphones have a good build quality providing punchy bass, detailed middles, and good trebles. These are closed-back headphone models with a compact, foldable design and they are good enough for field recording as they are for studio track recording and mixing. Well balanced sound reproduction on the Audio-Technica ATH-M35 headphone model is the result of its 40 mm (1.57 inches) rare-earth neodymium driver which handles power effectively at a maximum power input of 1,600 mW at 1 kHz, and offers extended frequency response at 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Ambient noises are sealed out by the heavily padded yet comfortable circumaural ear pads and by virtue of it being a closed-back headphone. The Audio-Technica ATH-M35 headphone uses a voice coil of copper-clad aluminium. Adjustable, cushioned headband, single-sided ultra-flexible OFC (Oxygen-free Copper) litz cable with gold-plated stereo 3.5 mm (1/8 inches) connector using a strain-relief spring and an additional screw-on 6.3 mm (1/4 inches) adapter are other features on the Audio-Technica ATH-M35 headphone. High-fidelity components such mixing consoles, home stereos, and home theatre systems are where the Audio-Technica headphones typically find application.
