The Garmin GPSMAP 695 is a portable aviation GPS navigation device that features detailed electronic charts and a large screen to view them on. The bright high-definition 7-inch (17.8-cm) colour screen is easily read in direct sunlight and makes plotting detailed waypoints on the Garmin GPS easy in daylight and night. The internal GPS receiver on the Garmin GPSMAP 695 updates the user’s position five times per second, allowing seamless presentation of flight data to the pilot in real time. Utilizing key functions of Class 1 and Class 2 electronic flight bag, the aviation GPS reduces the use of paper charts that can clutter a cockpit by allowing charts to be electronically displayed with ChartView and Garmin FliteCharts. The Garmin GPS features an advanced high-resolution terrain screen that shows flight hazards relative to the altitude and vertical terrain along the intended flight path. The Garmin GPS also features SafeTaxi technology which provides detailed diagrams of the taxi ways of thousands of airports.
