About this product

Product Information

The Bugera V5 5 watt guitar amplifier combo features a timeless design that not only looks great but sounds good too. This classic all-tube amp has made a memorable mark on the countless beloved tracks that have spanned the entire history of the electric guitar. The Bugera V5 5 watt vintage V5 Infinium guitar amp is proudly presented by the company so famous for its buttery and saturated vintage tones. With its built-in features, this amp can help you sculpt every sound you create, from purring clean blues to a thick and dirty crunch. The Bugera V5 5 watt guitar amp comes equipped with one channel, an all-tube design comprised of one EL84 power amp and one 12AX7 preamp, as well as an 8-inch speaker. It features natural tube compression, which is necessary to create the distortion required for producing authentic vintage tones. When at the 5-watt setting, the amplifier is incredibly loud, but its great power attenuator allows you to step it down all the way to 0.1 watts, without suffering a loss of tone quality across the different volume levels. To enhance tone control further, the amp features a high-definition digital spring reverb and vintage equalizer. The Bugera V5 5 watt guitar amp sports a classic look and feel, and provides five class-A watts of power through its Turbosound speaker. In addition to this, the V5 Infinium boasts an integrated high-definition reverb, as well as a two-way power attenuator. This combination helps you achieve the ultimate sound at all volumes. The extremely versatile vintage equalizer features tone control, allowing you to create and sculpt the sound you have been dreaming of. To enhance the flexibility of the Bugera V5 5 watt guitar amplifier even more, tube replacement is made very simple because of the revolutionary tube life multiplier technology. This technology extends the lifespan of amp tubes up to 20 times. The Bugera V5 is a masterfully designed and crafted all-tube combo amp that provides natural tube progression and sweetly balanced harmonics. The distortion and breakup you’ve come to admire from vintage megalith speakers of yesterday are fully reproduced, but in a much more compact and portable package. The EL94 output tube featured in the Bugera V5 5 watt guitar amp is often used in British-style amplifiers and is famous for its chiming and crisp tonal quality when it’s pushed to the max. Adding to this impressive list of tone-shaping features, the Bugera V5 boasts a high-definition reverb to put the perfect finishing touches to your signature sound. Easily adjustable via the dedicated control situated on the front panel, this amplifier lets you achieve any sound you dream of without compromise.

  • Great amp good value

Bugera V5- I should say mine has some wires crossed. The .1 setting is clearly louder than the 1 watt setting. But everything else is great. I haven't really played it at full level at home actually I play it on .1watt and it stays very clean. The gain on the Bugera is pretty smooth and has a fairly large range. The sound is dark for some people. I often play Strats so I'm more concerned with trebly sound there's none of that here. Of course that could be these tubes. I love the sound so far it's very responsive to strats and to a Parker. I plugged in a bunch of pedals from preamps to booster even a Zoom multi-effect believe it or not and it sounds warm. I've had tube amps before and played various tube amps live I just wanted a small tube with a reasonable price. I don't know if I would ever gig with this or attach it to a speaker for live use but it gets a great tone. For me reverb is so great. I almost bought one without reverb (I have various reverbs) but sometimes I just want to plug-in and play and you get the beautiful sound of tubes. I tried a couple of little black stars and Vox but the price here and reverb and the various low watt options made it one of a kind. I love fender Tube amps I played Mesa Boogie 22 for many years I've tried the larger Bugera 22 which is a pretty nice amp. This is a great amp as an introduction to having tube sound trying out pedals and how they respond and for recording the headphones sound pretty good . I think it's perfectly fine for a gig with maybe a softer light blues rock it certainly kicks but I have not tested it on my own . I guess I gave four stars as mine came with this wiring glitch and it's early on and I know that the brand is pretty good but we'll see how it holds up. I like that it stays clean but has a very wide range of overdrive that is better than some pedals. So it really has many features sounds great can be played out of the box and looks really cool too. I'm enjoying it and glad to have a tube amp around!

  • Great low-wattage amp

Many people complained about this original version of the V5 being too dark sounding, but that is exactly what I wanted, a dark sounding amp to use with a treble booster. They sound awesome together! The more-alert among you will notice that Fender now sells a 7 watt amp with a built in treble booster. What is old is suddenly new again! BTW, the new "Infinium" version of this amp is a totally new amp except for cosmetics. Yes, it sounds more sparkly and has a better speaker, but... This original had through-hole components, where as the Infinium version has surface-mount components. I don't think that is wise in a tube amp where the tube sockets are also on the same circuit board. Also the Infinium circuit limits current to the tubes, which totally defeats the purpose of a low wattage amp! Yes, your tubes last longer, but a set of tubes for this amp can be bought for $20, and easy price to pay for better tone. Maybe the Infinium circuit makes more sense on a higher-powered amp that you want to run super clean as a platform for effects pedals, but not here. Find an old version like this one, and crank it!

  • Love this little amp!

This amp sounds great! For a 5 watt tube amp and the options to lower the wattage, I can get natural tube breakup at bedroom levels. I bought mine used and in excellent cosmetic and working condition for $169. Where can you get a deal like this with a Fender, Marshall, Orange, or Vox tube combo? It even has a nice wet reverb.

  • Great small size tube amp

fit and finish exceeds the price and competition. room size amp. works great with other plug ins/effects. Jam with good music in a room setting with some reverb and fairly clean and it sounds great. Or even real quiet...

  • Great sounds.

Great sounds in a small space like a bedroom, but, probably not enough power for practice jams and definitely not enough for gigs. The reverb feature is just so, so. Overall, a great buy.

  • Love this amp

Amazing Class-A amp with dynamically huge volume control and beautiful tube tone. Reverb sounds nice. Turn the tone knob up and its really sweet. You got a love that the tubes last longer than normal amps as well.

  • Great for the price

Being a novice and casual guitar player, this is a great deal. A little muddy on the lower end, but still enjoyable when you find the right setup.
