    Tektronix 2465 300Mhz Scope

This is a well designed scope with respect to panel layout and it is repairable. I am old school so I prefer the SEC/DIV written right on the Time Base knob. Same goes for channel 1 and channel 2 VOLTS/DIV switches. It also displays the probe X10 or X1 in the read out on the CRT. I did do a calibration using a scope external calibrator and the time base was right on. I also did a calibration of the VOLTS/DIV and it also was very accurate. I do a lot of RF work, so this scope will play a very important function. I would give this scope a 5 star rating.

  • Tektronics 2465B Analog Oscilloscope - My opinion

The Tektronix 2465B might be considered the Cadillac of the analog oscilloscopes. I use mine for radio receiver and stereo amplifier repair. The 400 MHz capability makes its useful for just about any application below the microwave frequencies. Tektronix makes high quality products and this older scope is an especially outstanding example. As you can guess, I really like this oscilloscope!

  • Very solid piece of equipment

The traces drift a bit at first, but after 2-3 minutes, they stay where you put them. It's easier to use than my 2430A on repetitive waveforms above a couple hundred hertz... below that, the digital is more in its element. This is the fourth Tek scope I have owned and the most fun to use. It's well laid out and very controllable. When you're used to a digital scope, an analog trace can be a beautiful thing.

  • Feature-packed Tek 2465ADM scope

Tek's 2465ADM is successor to 2465DMS and predecessor of 2465BDM. Besides being a very high bandwidth scope (advertized as 350MHz but easily capable of 400), it has options to make it very useful: DMM and Frequency Counter (both built in). It cost around $10000 new circa 1987, but can be found on ebay for a tenth working correctly or even for a fiftieth in need of ER intervention. Which price tier you aim for should depend on your intervention skills. It is not as simple to work on as a Heathkit, even with a detailed manual, so aim low only if you are talented at making 2 or3 bad ones into a good one. There are a handful of qualified ebayers who can lengthen their lives for those not talented to do this themselves. Fortunately these scopes are from the repairable era, whereas many newer ones are made of unrepairable fluff.

  • Oscilloscope Tektronix 2465 DMS (Digital Meter Scope)

My order was not a working oscilloscope, but it is well made and I think it is fixable. As long as you understand that these are early 1990's oscilloscopes and you can fix electronics or have a friend or two, these scopes are great!

  • Tektronix Oscilloscope

The scope was packaged very well and arrived in great shape. The calibration was very close and for my uses it was great right out of the box.

  • Load Tester for 2465 Scopes

I have now had time to actually use this load in repairing a 2465B power supply and found the unit a great time saver. One of the features I found very good was the LED indicators and how they showed a -5 volt supply as low. I tested it using a good supply to compare and was very impressed with the results. I would highly recommend this for anyone fixing these supplies as it reduces the number of times you need to remove and re install the supply which is quite time consuming compared to the average power supply. Great Product!!

  • Good Oscilloscopes have parts for other units.

The unit was purchased for parts to be used on a unit that was not working. Should we be able to make it work it will be a bonus. These are good Oscilloscopes.

  • It's a Tektronix, what more do I need to say.

Great 4 channel scope, amazing value and to be able to own it for a reasonable price is just outstanding!
