Brand new A Silent Voice DVD. A wonderfully emotional story
A brand new DVD of the animated film, A Silent Voice. DVD is still in original packaging. DVD is in new condition. Unscratched, and runs perfectly with no skipping or freezing. Movie is dubbed in both English and original Japanese language. Subtitles are available for both versions. However, there are no English text translations for when the characters use sign language or when Japanese text is presented (i.e. building signs, books, etc) but that can easily be overlooked since the pacing and writing of the script is straightforward. The movie itself is beautiful. Each character is relatable and very much realistic in terms of their behavior and personal history. The protagonists, Shoya and Shoko, are both strong characters and engaging to watch when their internal struggles are presented. When their moments of weakness are shown, the emotions conveyed are powerful and tangible to viewers who have experienced similar situations. Both the visuals and quiet moments in the film are stunning and evoke silent awe. The runtime is 2 hours, but the pacing is great and never once feels like its dragging.
