This '89 is mighty fine.
This particular 1989 Sony Boombox is still going strong. It was kept in immaculate condition and everything still works. The sound quality is great. The sleek design and clean lines are pleasing to the eye. The compact size and light weight make it very portable and easy to place almost anywhere without obstruction. The internal mic is worthless.
The radio worked fine. I didn't try dubbing a tape. When I used the internal mic, the recorded sound was garbled and distorted terribly to the point where you couldn't understand what was being said. Compact with good quality sound
The CD player works fine, there is some wear in the mechanism involved when you close the CD player. I had to clean the cassette tape head in order for the cassette player to work properly, but now that the head is clean it produces great sound.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Hard to find one that' still works.
