Focusing on creating high-quality sound housed in a smaller frame that comparable models, the TDL RTL3 speakers are floor-standing reflex transmission line loudspeakers. Because of the size and acoustic design elements of these TDL stereo speakers, they function well regardless of placement in a room, offering flexibility to home users who may want to tuck them out of the way or display them as part of a home entertainment system. These reflex transmission line loudspeakers eliminate the possibility of sound reflecting back into the speaker enclosure, producing truer sounds and warmth in the music. The TDL stereo speakers feature twin 172-mm bass drivers with loaded polypropylene cones and phase plugs with long-throw double-wound coils on Kapron formers. Soft dome, ferrofluid-cooled 19-mm tweeter units supply the high-end range on the TDL RTL3 speakers. These TDL stereo speakers are easily powered using an amplifier producing 20-120 watts per channel. Each individual speaker unit in this set measures 90 cm by 20 cm by 37.5 cm and weighs 21 kg.Product Identifiers

RTL3
Purchased these to replace my existing RTLs with one crackly bass driver. The exact same drivers aren't available any more, so that meant buying one for each speaker - plus they looked different to the ones installed on the RTL3. Found these complete speakers for sale, and it was a no-brainer - hooked them up to my amp and the difference was night and day! Made me realise how bad my old RTLs sounded. These are an amazing speaker for the money, if you like bass. Treble a bit shrill at times, but they can be tamed with a modification. I'm leaving these as factory and not driving them as loud as my old ones - they're a classic and deserve some respect, plus I'd like them to last another 20 years!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
