Great little system
This was purchased for a friend and I had the privalidge of testing the unit upon arrival. Firstly the build quality is very good and although it's a micro system it has a fairly heavy wieght to it and does feel solid. The wieght is nice to have and completes what is a very robust unit. Precision movement on all buttons. I was concerned about the output of this unit especially because I am used to amps pushing out a minimum of 75watts but I was surprised with the power of this unit and Denon are not guilty of fake advirtising where this is concerned. The 30 watt amp packs a serious punch and with a very well balanced clear and detailed sound. I pushed the amp to max output with an fairly old pair of Tannoy Mercury MK1 100watt speakers and there was a little distortion at the top. Exactly why that distortion was there I don't know but I do know that if you need to listen to music with an amp at full capacity you really need a bigger amp. To keep an amp your top spot should be 80% and the M41 sounded clear up till around 95+%. For playback at 25watts the M41 sound is very loud and will definitely get you a bunch of complaint from household members and possibly even neighbours!. At this time in 2019 I honestly cannot see much competition for Denons efforts here and if like .e you grab a manufacturer refurb you have a serious audio treat in store. A far better choice over any smart speaker barring the convenience of an digital assistant and if the future holds a plug in for such a convenience as the assistant then even better. Great product, another step up in quality from Denon
I've had two previous versions of this product and this one is a definite step up in sound quality. Bluetooth is a great addition as so much music now online but CD and radio quality are exceptional. Stunning sound - an all in one wonder! Denon too!
Frankly the sound quality from the CD player, the Bluetooth connection and the FAB radio is incredible! I was paying this kind of money for a replacement stylus in the 1970s!!!! Great quality from a micro system.
My 3rd one of these (2 older versions). Now driving a large set of Coda 9 floor standers. Not much to beat this and arrived as new. A great compact stereo system
This is a great stereo Radio CD Receiver a good sound Quality and adequate power. The only downside is with the indoor aerial provided I can't receive many FM Stations and no DAB at all.
