Wow amazing cool room
I bought this for my son who suffers in the heat and was unable to sleep at night. I have to say it has been a god send. We set the timer for the maximum amount of time in the happy knowledge that if we fill the water reservoir up it has plenty to last through the night. As an extra boost just before we go to bed I put a bowl of ice in the dispenser and it gives the room an extra burst of cool air. The product is easy to use and set-up and having a multitude of functions for speed, type of air flow etc, makes it very versatile. I have ticked that it is energy efficient as previous reviewers have said it is, but to be honest it is too early to confirm that, but giving my a son a good nights sleep wins over a few pennies more on the electric if it turns out to be the case. Came with defect, and eventually not good as people report.
I live in a sun facing flat, not too big in size. Used this cooler... with ice cold water and blended ice, as putting big chunks of ice is nearly impossible due to loading slot. Gel filled bottles provided are not tight, and plastic over 12 freezing cycles just stretched with marks... Oh one more thing... The fabric spinning motor is noisy, and because it is stretched over the plastic tube, it makes low frequency noise. I mean it is not my unlucky one, it is just construction is so simple but not thought frough... Not liked it. Other solution - is bladeless fan with backet of ised water behind.... Remember that it's NOT an air conditioner!
I've read a few reviews of this item, and similar items, on various sites and the main reason that it gets a bad review is because people expect it to work like an air conditioner - if you want an air conditioner then pay the £300+ for one! As an air cooler it's basically much better than a fan that just blows warm air at you. Especially when you've added the ice packs & cubes you get a really great cold breeze that cools you and can cool the room slightly if you close the door on a little. It's so refreshing on those humid days to have this item, it truly cools the air down. If you angle a normal fan so that the cooler also enters it's vent you get a much more effective fan too. It's easy to move around, although heavy when the water tank is full (which is built into the unit so you cannot remove it). You get two plastic bottles to fill with water then freeze to add to the tank. The only problem I had was that you HAVE to connect string etc to stop from losing the bottles. Nothing like this was supplied. There is also an ice tray at the top for ice cubes. Once you have all of these items together it works perfectly, as long as you remember to turn on the 'cooler' setting :) The remote is simple to use and the settings are easy to figure out. The instructions that you get with it are pointless but it's just a case of looking at the unit and using a bit of common sense I would definitely recommend this and I'm so relieved to have itVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Rejoice! Disposable Coolers are here! Life 1 month 15 days for me.
Fairly good while it worked. Not excellent - its ridiculously difficult to clean. As anybody who uses an air cooler knows, coolers have be cleaned every 2 weeks - else they smell - there isnt an efficient way of cleaning this without taking this apart! You better be good at DIY. Not excellent - its difficult to drain - its got a plug underneath, so you lift a full cooler, put it in the bath and then pull out the plug - this will drain most of the water not all though. Until you shake this poor excuse of a contraption. Worse still, I did not realise that its a disposable cooler. How can a cooler last only for a month and half? Its been just over one month and the fan has stopped working - all the lights come on, the fabric that rotates inside the water, rotates fine, but without the fan, the cooler is not worth the plastic! All in all, recommendations, do yourself a favour and skip this cooler - buy a slightly more expensive branded one that is better designed. Noisy , no cold air !
Waste of time, noisy and no cold air ! I have used evaporative coolers for 20 years all been great , just have to be careful with keeping very clean , washing filters and water tanks and sterility of the water tank etc for antibacterial issues !. Excellent value and performance
Let's start with the one downside. A removable water tank would improve this product as filling it through the side is more difficult and it's only possible to add one small freezer block (supplied) a time Everything else is good. It cools the room nicely, the airflow is good, it's not too noisy, the timer means I can leave it cooling the bedroom when I go to sleep. Noisy /expensive to run/can't fit ice into it/
Would not recommend buying. Expensive to use. Worked and blew up after 5 uses. Ice will not fit in the ice tray. Like a normal fan. Very cheaply made remote control. Filter inside the system stopped working on the second day or using this load of rubbish. Wouldn't recommend buying this. Warning water gets into the wire components also very noisy. Not overly excited
It's portable, it has a remote, but it is more like a fan than a cooler. I had this thing on for hours and there was no noticeable difference in air cooling, which is what is says it should do.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It's a great unit works well
