Yay! Someone else's choice of radio station
It works, but now I have to listen to whatever my partner wants to listen too.... At least the soud quality is good, it's compact, and it fits in its intended spot. 5-stars - I wouldn't say it's amazing, like I wouldn't say its volume goes up to 11. Excellent sound quality, well-made and quick and easy to set up.
My review title says it all really. I bought this radio to replace an older DAB/FM radio in my kitchen which had just failed. This Sony offers excellent sound quality, far better than you’d expect from the small loudspeaker. The instructions are comprehensive but not really needed as it’s so simple and intuitive to set up and save stations to presets. It’s a sturdy piece of kit and battery life on four AAs is more than acceptable. I’ve since bought another fir my bedside table. Who could ask for more?!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great Dab (portable) radio.
Great little radio and so easy to use. Tunes itself in as you would expect and easy for people like me who are not interested in technology for the sake of it, to use! I have three of these now, I love them! Albeit a good radio, the tiny speaker is not not up to much. Do not expect concert hall performance here. If you want great bass and treble, go for something else. All in all; a very nice small portable radio. Uses 4 AA batteries that do not last long. Buy in bulk!! Easy to use, sounds great and reasonable battery life.
I have several portable radios, including some small personal DAB radios and another DAB+ portable I bought a short time ago but this Sony is the one I actually use more than any of them, several times a day at the moment. I am using hybrid rechargeable batteries and get several hours use from each charge. It's a shame that the radio doesn't charge the batteries when run from the external power supply but never mind. The controls are very easy to use with the power button plus the five presets on the top, the rotary volume control and the simple channel selection system.. The volume range is also very good compared to some of the other radios with electronic stepped volume controls I own which don't adjust low enough for use in the bedroom at night. This one will turn down to a very low level if required. The usual Sony build quality really shows. A nice, simple little radio
This is a sweet little radio; it was smaller than I expected (it's about the size of an old VCR cassette) but no less welcome for that. It is pretty easy to set up - despite some absolutely unforgivable gobbledegook in the manual! My wish is that the display could be customised to be on all the time but with reduced power output. It is either on or off and I would prefer to be able to read the time off it in the middle of the night. Best little Sony radio yet
From a tiny speaker, you cannot expect hifi or any bass, but you do get clarity on speech, I'm a bit deaf but I can hear this clearly. The LED screen is good and clear but it does keep scrolling to be able to display all the DAB and the FM RDS information. Crucially, it picks up pretty well in areas of poor signal strength.
