Of Discs: 2 disc(s) Studio / Label: BMG UK Release Date: 01 Nov 2010. Disc 1 4 Sphinx (The Guardian). Disc 2 6 Black Sabbath. Disc 1 2 No Stranger to Love. Disc 1 10 No Stranger to Love (Single Remix Version).
This deluxe edition is really hard to find now, but if you can find one for a reasonable price, I'd grab it. While Seventh Star isn't the most lauded Sabbath album, I think it's an awesome display of Tony Iommi's musicianship, plus the great Glenn Hughes on vocals and Eric Singer on drums. If you're annoyed by loud remasters, you may like this one. I don't think it's too loud when compared to other CDs in my collection.
As for the extras you get, there is a neat alternate version of No Stranger to Love on disc 1, and disc 2 contains a radio broadcast of a live performance of the band. This performance features Ray Gillen on vocals, as Hughes was replaced only a few shows into the tour. While the audio quality isn't the best, I think the performance is still great and Ray absolutely rocks on vocals.
