I bought this after the vet tech suggested that vitamin B12 might help my hyperthyroid kitty eat more. Even though his prescription food keeps his thyroid numbers in the normal range, he wasn't putting the weight back on that he lost and I just couldn't get him to eat more. He went from 12 lbs to about 9 lbs. Even a 1 lb weight loss for a small animal is a lot. This is the second bottle I've purchased for him and he's up to 10 lbs now - looks a lot healthier. I drop one pill on top of his dry food each morning. I was concerned that he wouldn't eat it, but turns out he loves it. He tries to eat the pill before eating the rest of his kibbles. My kitty was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and placed on a limited ingredient diet and Vitamin B12. She's become a picky eater and it's difficult to administer meds, etc., so I cut the pill in half and hide in her food. : ) So far, so good and she hasn't experienced anymore flareups.
