Gorilla glue is a superb waterproof easily applied waterproof
I have been using this glue for a few years now and cannot fault it. It produces a very strong bond that is stronger than the wood and is easy to apply and wipe clean with a damp cloth. You need to make sure the components are held together via a clamp or screw or heavy weight etc while drying.
