This machine is a top notch choice for serious quilting and sewing. The 12" throat leaves ample manuvering room for even king size quilts. The stitch options are in the hundreds. The touch sensitive screen is intuitive and leaves a great deal of feedback. Touch a button to tie a securing knot, another button cuts your thread. Excellent, but there is a learning curve
I love my Bernina 820 sewing computer; however, it does take a while to learn to use it. It is very sensitive, especially the treading of both the bobbin and upper guide. I had to watch several YouTube videos and read many articles (more than once) before I was comfortable sewing/quilting on it. Bernina 820 is not a Lightweigth machine, it is SOLID!
