  • There are several ways of saying "The Power of One" I suggest you try varying the main emphasis on each word in sequence & measure , for yourself,

Bryce Courtenay has written one masterpiece here followed by a sequel "Tandia" Not only is this a good & faithful documentary novel but it does illustrate the nature of South Africa reporting some accurate historical facts. The subject covers human nature, psychology, religion & it's strengths & weaknesses, how racial interaction can be successful in many situations. The biography of Peekay & others shows how strength of character can overcome hardship & nasty experiences & social damage. The story illustrates the value of genuine friendship & interaction &, most highly, the real value of true LOVE. I have friends who believe this book is an inspiration for any individual to treat as part of education &, also, an inspiration in LIFE. The copy I purchased has been given to a very good friend. When I handed it over, two of his friends, who know the book well, indorsed the content as I do here.. My twin grandchildren, now 35 years old, had this book as school text book at graduation to university leve & I am delighted to have discovered that fact. Sincerely, ALFRED
