A thoroughly good read!
Durrells first three books in one volume....I thought I was getting three separate paperbacks, but that was my fault....I obviously didn't read the description properly ....However, no problem. This book is great for relaxing and following a wonderful family's life, through a young boy's point of view after they've relocated to Corfu. Be prepared for in-depth information about all of the creatures Gerald encounters and tries to keep in or near their home. He becomes very knowledgeable about them and seems to relish in sharing all of the minute details about them with his readers. Love the variety of characters that Gerry meets on his adventures on the Island. His description is very amusing of his family too.
