  • Sadness made very scary in a Venice we don't know.

    Was a surprise and then no surprise at all to learn the author of the story that was made into a haunting film was Daphne du Maurier. Like all great works it stays in your thoughts long after you've finished it with totally believable, finely drawn characters.
