  • Read This Book - Life Changing

I was recommended 'The Hiding Place' by a friend who said it had changed her life. Now that i've read it, I can completely agree. As the foreword to the book says - Corrie discusses so many other issues aside from her heartbreaking and glorious story whilst living and working under German Occupation during WW2. It is a beautiful book, written by a beautiful person. It will change you and equip you for the road ahead. Sometimes, we only know how to move forward once we've looked back to where we've been x

  • Inspiring story.

This moving and inspiring true story is one that I have read and re-read many times. It never fails to move me deeply, and the author, Corrie Ten Boom, although no longer with us, continues to bless and inspire thousands more still, with this, the story of her Dutch family's courage in hiding Jews from the Nazis. She went on to write yet more accounts of her life afterwards, which are equally compelling. A must-read!

  • True faith in action. Compelling.

I read this many years ago and I met the author in the 1960's. Her simple faith and her ability to see God working in the most horrible situations make the book compelling reading.

  • A true story of outstanding bravery and courage

A true story which outlines the lives of the Christian Ten Boom family during the second world war and their efforts to save their Jewish friends and neighbours from arrest and deportation to concentration camps. Using cunning and subterfuge they use their watch making business as a cover to shelter Jews and distribute ration cards and clothing for those who were in need. When they are discovered, they are taken to detention centres and ultimately to Ravensbruck where despite their appalling treatment, they minister God's love to their fellow prisoners who have lost all hope. Their ministry continues after the end of the war where those who have suffered receive spiritual healing and restoration, a lasting legacy to the courage of this Dutch family.

  • An Inspiring and Moving Book

I'd never heard of Corrie Ten Boom until my daughter studied her in RE at school. She seemed genuinely inspired by the story, so I decided to buy the book and read for myself about this lesser-known wartime heroine; I had, like many people, read 'The Diary of Anne Frank' when I was a child. Would highly recommend this moving and inspirational account of one family's experiences during World War Two.

  • Amazing lady with a heart of God and gold

An autobiography of an amazing Spirit filled Lady who helped and endured so much. Not read it all yet but it is a real life story that I've wanted to read for years. Great inspiration to all.

  • What a Testimony

Amazing book of an amazing woman. I bought a second hand copy which was fine although pages were badly yellowed. It was at a low price and hence that was not a problem. Recommended read!
