Ancient truth for modern readers
Fatyher Seraphim understood ancient Christian tradition and was able to communicate difficult truth in language modern readers can access. There have been many critics of his writings, not least this work, but the many thousands of Orthodox in Russian and Greece who read his work in translation testify that it is only in the western academic sphere that such criticisms are voiced. The western intellectuals will tell you not to read him but Orthodox common people know truth when they drink it.
