Moving a dish, you got to get one of these!
Had to fit new dish due to house extension. took lots of measurements to keep new dish aligned, even had app on tablet,very poor reception, bought this meter and within five minutes had brilliant signal however eight channels on freesat not good, back up with meter, alignment perfect but LNB needed to be focussed (moved in and out) to dish. You can`t do that without this meter! Most of us will probably only need to align a sattellite dish once, so it don`t justify spending hundreds on a meter with screen, when this little bit of kit can align accurately for under a tenner So quick and easy to use, ideal for caravans and motorhomesVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great bit of kit for the DIY installer.
Don't struggle with guess work trying to align your Dish.... this is a quick cheap and easy to use Signal Finder, set up anew Dish in same position as old one and got no Picture, connected Signal Finder and within minutes with a couple of minor adjustments all was good with a perfect Picture. SATELLITE FINDER - EASY TO USE/ ACCURATE/ AFFORDABLE
Great little meter! I tried finding the satellite myself using a google app then aiming the dish where I thought - Nothing, Nada, Zilch... After a couple of goes and still NO signal I gave up. So I bought this meter (Super-fast post, no Covid delays) and went for it again. This time I found the satellite signal within a few seconds. Went indoors to check - still no signal on the TV. So then I went out again and checked the vertical alignment as well. The signal peaked to almost double and the meter was squealing away - it turned out that the dish was pointing too high before. Anyway, back inside and this time the TV showed 100% on strength and quality! All done and now got a perfect picture on every channel, including HD. Basic tool but does the job
I needed a satellite finder after moving our dish due to building work. After watching a YouTube video for guidance, using the meter was pretty straightforward. That said you do need to have an idea where to point the dish but once you’re in the area, the meters tone and needle deflection guide you to the strongest signal.
