Nearly perfect.
This is the second replacement basket I've had. The previous one was a bit flimsy. This one? Much better. The handle is a bit fiddly to get into place, but once there, it's a great improvement in that it doesn't come adrift, unlike the previous one that enjoyed spilling the contents fairly regularly. It also fits into my machine well, no little thing. It's a fairly complicated thing to manufacture out of plastic I'd say and there's a bit of flashing on some edges as it comes. So it's best to take that off, but no real hardship. But that apart, this is a good effort that I would buy again. Hopefully some time far into the future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap but poor quality.
Cutlery basket fits our Hot Point dishwasher perfectly, but it just isn't the same quality as the previous one I had purchased off ebay. The plastic appears to be thinner and less robust than our previous one (not original) and it was also a poor quality moulding, with extra bits of plastic all over it (I used to work in extruded plastics). In short, cheap, but there are better available on eBay and I won't be buying this particular one again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Maybe this will last this time..?
This a replacement for the last replacement! The floor of the unit is prone to breaking through, and cutlery drops through, fouling the rotation of the dishwasher arm - so this time we will keep the slotted layer on the top, in place. Otherwise a good product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent replacement
The cutlery tray which came in the dishwasher has developed holes in the base, allowing cutlery to protrude downwards, impacting the bottom rotating jets, so a new one was required. This was excellent value and is exactly the same as the original, but a better price. Don't throw away the old basket's handle!!
This is an exact copy of the original and fits no problem where the old one would have. But...don't throw away the old basket's handle. The handle supplied with the new basket is either badly made or incompatible. This presents no problem as long as you still have the old handle. I simply couldn't get the new handle to fit correctly on the new basket. It just kept coming off, even with no cutlery in the new basket. Arrived quickly, packed well, item as described. It’s ok.
Replaced my broken original hotpoint basket. It fits fine in my dishwasher, difficult to get the handle attached. The quality is not as good as my original basket, lots of odd bits of plastic sticking out, but it’s doing the job it’s designed for! I originally went for a generic one for a few pounds cheaper, but it did not fit the tray properly and was inferior quality. This one is exactly the same as the original, and is a perfect replacement.
