EXCELLENT VALUE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - NO FAKE NEWS HERE!
I have to say I was a little nervous about buying this item. After all CS6 Extended was a hefty $1000 product when it was released in 2012 and if you could still buy it as a one off purchase would cost you probably double that or in the UK today maybe £2000. Surely then £14.99 seems too good to be true. Lets See;
I installed CS6 Extended without a problem CHECK
I registered my CS6 license with Adobe without issues CHECK
I updated CS6 to all the latest updates direct from Adobe CHECK
I now have a true 64bit Photoshop App CHECK
I can now use ALL of my 32GB of RAM CHECK
TLDR:
Sadly Adobe went subscription and recently hiked their prices to over £10 per month. Admittedly this allows casual users to simply try the software and if they don't get on with it can simply dump it. The Creative Suite (CC) is a very feature rich product and for most people is a daunting prospect as the tools available can be and are very complex if you get into them properly.
I wanted to upgrade from my ageing Photoshop 7.0 released in 2002 which I bought and have used all this time. My main issue then was there were no 64bit systems so I could never utilise the full potential of memory or CPU. PSP 7.0 was a 32bit app essentially. The first 64bit Photoshop arrived with CS4 in 2008 and while I was using the CS products at work I wasn't about to shell out £1000 when my PSP 7.0 did the job well enough for me at home.
You can call me a miser if you like but look at it this way. Lets say Adobe ran subscription only in 2002, at £10pm. 2002-2016=14 yrs and 6 months in 2017 - 15x12x10+(6)=£1860. Photoshop 7.0 cost £700 and if it supported 64bit processing I would probably still be using it. OK so I am a miser but a miser with £1160 in my pocket. :D
Plus you don't think CC will remain at £10pm right? And what would it have been now per month had they have started subs 15 years ago?
OK so you get the latest updates and any new tools released but truly useful stuff we have already with CS6. In fact the only tool I would like is Perspective Warp but I do have Warp which used skillfully would get you there. Adobe CS6 Extended is a powerful Graphics App and if you're new to Photoshop it will take you some time to get used to as its very comprehensive features. The rewards however, will justify the time you spend with it!
So where does that leave us with the purchase of CS6 from DJC;
