  • Good 3d printer with some modification

All round this is a good 3d printer after some modification, the assembly is pretty straight foward with easy to follow instructions and some help from youtube. The bad points: The hot bed table is shockingly bad using 4 rubberized bearings which are recessed in a cross channel section, the bearings are not a neat fit which causes the table to wobble, i upgraded the table using a linear bearing set at a further cost of £15 Another worth while upgrade is a piece of glass for the table the good points: easy to build, good sturdy structure, cable and power supply management seem to be better than others on the market at this price lots of mods available to print on free websites such as feet, belt tensioners ect

  • It doesn't work properly

I hate this printer, it does not work properly and reboots when I long press the "up" button to raise the Z axis or to extrude filament. This does not happen when I move the X or the Y axis, they both work normally. The stepper motor couplers do not turn true/straight so the leadscrews wobble a lot. I have had to leave the screws for the leadscrew nuts loose so they can move with the leadscrews. If I tighten them then the leadscrews will bind so bad so that the Z axis can't travel up or down. I wished I'd never bought it!

  • Great KIT, needs upgrading, cool project

I knew exactly what I was buying when I bought this kit. A kit. The assembly instructions are easy to follow. However, this printer needs to be modified before the print quality is any good (e.g. Belt tensioners, end stop brackets, a bed stabiliser is very important). This is a good kit, and a good project and I love it, but its not for you if you want a working one out of the box.

  • Great value kit

I built this kit to working in about 7 hours whilst on holiday during 3 morning sessions. It needed a little extra fitting work to remove a small amount of shake in the Y axis carriage ( I am used to CNC Milling where there is no play at all so wanted my 3d printer to be the same). I am extremely pleased with the results and it gives great results so far - now all I have to do is conquer the slicing software which will come with experience. I would recommend this kit as great value and it was delivered quickly.
