Lightweight and good for shorter journeys.
This was a effort to reduce the weight and bulk of my outboard, as I had to carry it some distance to a tender to get out to a boat. So far it has been worthwhile, as it can be carried in one hand, while producing enough thrust to move an 8' dinghy with two people and some clobber at a reasonable( but not fast) pace. I did find that the motor was not able to rev, so have machined 5mm off the prop diameter. The prop was the same diameter as the 2.3hp Honda it replaces, but with only half the power( the pitches were similar). It has improved it, and I may try removing a little more. This is not a quiet motor when working hard.... The portability makes it worthwhile.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap and portable outboard
Its a great little motor, ive been out on the river and canal with it ive been using it with a 10 ft rubber dinghy its not going to be fast but for a days fishing and getting out and about its great. Its very easy to start and a full tank of fuel im getting just over an hour continious runing.
