After reading The Elephant Man by Christine Sparks & watching the movie, which reflects her book. I found the true history giving a more accurate account of this severely deformed gentle man. It gives you more information about the early life of Joseph Merrick & corrects some inaccurate. It's only a small book but it gives the full story which was more appealing to me. I would say this is an accompaniment to book first mentioned.
