Good mini-series, terrible subtitles/captions...
Entertaining, short, horror/drama mini-series on a vicar and her teacher going up against a group of satanists and disembodied evil. There are lots of little moments present in the DVD (pauses, shots from other angles, etc.) that weren't visible when it was on TV, and I think they added to the mood. It could've done with some more silent moments and dramatic shots to really create the atmosphere. As is, it has a bit of a B-movie vibe (which I don't personally mind). The subtitles/captions are terrible, though. They don't even spell the characters' names correctly. I've truly never seen such bad subtitles/captions in my life. Pro-tip to the production team: Don't get someone who didn't make it past 5th grade English in charge of doing subtitles/captions on a film going to DVD. (Yes, it's that bad. They appear to spell the name Hugh as "Huw." [insert look of confusion here]) It's a shame they didn't put in just a little more effort in this respect. Otherwise, it's a pretty good series, the DVD has a nice menu, nice case (though they really Photoshopped Maxwell-Martin in all the art to the point of being unrecognizable, which is just...strange).
