a serious alternative
Thought id try something different as have had sony phones for several years but not impressed with the battery life lately. Couldn't justify spending crazy amounts of money either so after checking out different phones decided on the Redmi. Out of the box it didn't disappoint, looks and feels like a premium phone. easy to set up and get started, the miui system that runs over android is simple and looks good with some useful apps included. it runs android 10 and will get updates unlike some other manufacturers. it does duplicate some android versions so you have a choice which to use. 6gb ram and 64gb storage, which is expandable, so plenty quick enough. the phones display is nice and clear with a good size screen, sound isn't as good as sony but i didn't expect it to compete. phone itself is a little heavy but that's due to the battery which goes on for ever but when it does need a charge the charger supplied takes no time. a nice touch was it came with a soft case and screen protector already applied. for the price I'm more than happy with it and if you're after something different id say give one a go. for the money you cant go wrong.
