Well worth your time
If you've never seen this show it's difficult to describe. Something of a genre-buster. It kind of ALIEN meets INVASION OF THE BODYSNATCHERS meets 28 DAYS LATER meets THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN meets LIFEFORCE, with vampires, Nazi war criminals and corporate tyranny too, if you can imagine such a thing. I'm only on series two (of four) but I'm certainly enjoying it so far. The special effects are great and the storyline is pretty entertaining but unfortunately the acting is not of the highest calibre, possibly due to a lack of rehearsal time or economical, single take direction. Pretty gory and scary despite the 15 certificate (much more so than, for instance, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, which is pretty tame for the most part yet has an 18 certificate in spite of that). This box set isn't all that easy to come by cheaply and I was lucky to get it for £24.99 with free shipping. It's quite a compact set with few if any frills, but the picture and sound quality are excellent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
