Would be better a little less lightweight
Just what I needed to avoid constantly resetting the height of my engraving tool. The only criticism I have is that it would flex less if the support bars were just a little more rigid i.e. larger diameter. The base is great and very solid and the dial indicator it does it's job fine

Good bit of kit and reasonable price
Excellent bit of kit for the money. Magnetic base is reasonably sturdy. I'm sure in right hands the DTI is perfectly useable, unfortunately I dropped mine while setting up and unfortunately DTI's don't bounce well. Which reflects more on me than the product. Delivery was quick, would buy again

Dial gauge and stand
Bit disappointed that I had to tighten the 4 screws on the back of the gauge, when initially tried the gauge this led to some very erroneous readings. When this was sorted it worked fine. I particularly liked the fine adjustment idea for final positioning. Magnetic base works well although it’s a little bigger than I expected. Maybe I should have read the description. All in all for the money a good buy.
