Obviously the true test will be when/if the time comes to actually use it but it appears good quality, it's a good price and is currently hanging on my wall poised for use just in case! Not Properly certified with British Standard kite mark
After this product arrived at first glance looks genuine, but as I looked closer things started to look out of place. 1. Spelling mistakes 2. Made in People’s Republic of China 3. C E mark should read BS EN C E means Conformité Européenne, meaning European Conformity but as this is a standard, its initials have a set spacing to conform, these don’t have the correct spacing this means this stands for Chinese Export!!! Look this up on the internet. Only fire blankets that have a BSI Kitemark on them have been proven to do the job correctly and safety in actual fires! I am putting this item straight into to bin, do not risk your house or the lives of your family with this horrible Chinese copy!!! Some of the reviews state I hope I never have to use it, I hope you don’t have to either, it might just be the last thing you ever do!! Genuine fire blankets retail for about £8 more than this rubbish! Please don’t risk it for the price of a couple of pints 🍻 Don’t be tempted, I’ve now purchased a real fire blanket conforming to the correct British standard, from a reputable company that sells and installs fire safety equipment for £11. One or two spelling mistakes in the instructions on the bag, but the pictures clearly show how to use the fire blanket and its the picture one would look at in an emergency if you needed instruction in how to use the blanket. The manufacture of the bag and practically the blanket are excellent and very good value. Different from photos
The item supplied looks nothing like the photos shown in the description. There are spelling mistakes in all the instructions. The tabs do not hang down far enough for you to yank the blanket out. I do not see how this can conform to CE as it stated. It says that it is not big enough for adult clothing fires then gives you the instructions on how to put a clothing fire out using the blanket. Questionable quality
Item supplied not as pictured; the printing on the red bag is printed front on back so if you hang it as instructed for quick release, the instructions for use are facing away from you. The instructions themselves are in very poor English with numerous spelling mistakes which makes me question whether the blanket itself would be fit for use.
