Lightweight with good features

Not up to the simplest of tasks.
Being a keen gardener I currently own a large petrol hedge trimmer, which is used for our larger laurel hedges and a medium size electric trimmer for our medium size hedges. I bought this hand held battery trimmer as I thought it would be useful for our ornemental hedges. Sadly I found it to be virtually useless, we have four small ornemental hedges, from fully charged the battery ran out half way through cutting the second hedge. Also the quality of the cut is very poor you need to go over the same area a number of times to cut even light growth. Easy, light and does the edges really well for a modest price
We've tried all sorts of strimmers (wired and cordless), shears. I am delighted with this really useful shear. It is easy to use, but do be careful not to have fingers or toes anywhere near the cutting area. This could be lethal, but the enclosed instructions do make clear how to use it safely. I have had no problems with it. I love it. It neatens the lawn edges and cuts the grass in difficult to reach areas. I haven't tried cutting back the bushes yet but I am sure it will be very effective in doing that. Does the job but beware, these things are legal. I see now why Stihl wouldn't sell one to you without a safety briefing in the shop. Mind your fingers
This tool is really useful. It's much cheaper than a quality one (eg from Stihl) but if you want to try one out without splashing this is a good option. Works well on most small shrubbery but obvs won't cut through anything really tough. The extension handle is flimsy, as you'd expect for £30. Main thing about this device is how utterly dangerous it is if you're not careful with it. While it has a dead switch as well as a safety trigger, it's very easy to knock the dead switch on when changing blades, meaning you can activate it very easily. Stihl made these a couple of years ago and would still one to you without giving you a safety briefing in store. Now I understand why! Great,does as it says. Start button could be a bit trick for some as you are holding the handle an pushing in the button, but totally possible. Cuts better than expected and easy to store. Very pleased, prefer it to a strimmer, no more painful shins from stuff thrown up by a strimmer.
