HALF STEP HALFWAY HOUSE...
First off, this is a reasonably sturdy piece of kit, though some of the finishes (feet, non-slip top) are not particularly well embedded and tend to either pop out or lie slightly unevenly. It is, of course, only a half step - and that is both height-wise and width-wise - so it takes a little bit of getting used to. We have a metal grate in front of the door, so I resorted to using tie wraps to secure the step to it - and this has worked a treat. Bottom line is that this is a cheap and effective method of easing access across a high-lipped threshold - such as where a PVC door has been added to an older property, without further modification.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Strong, stable step, with non-slip surface. First class in every way!
I purchased two of these steps, which placed side by side, provide a wise surface for my husbsnd to use. He has a stick, and is slightly unstable, so the two steps provide him with the space hr needs. The item is well made, with extra support pegs underneath. Nearly Perfect
A pity it is not possible to make it a little bit higher - otherwise it is nigh on perfect. As an added bonus you get a free foot massage from the anti-slip surface when you stand on it if you're not wearing shoes etc. Outside our back door we have "riven" paving slabs. These are uneven by design and the step stool was a bit rocky initially. Within three days it had bedded itself in. There are eight points of contact with the ground - the four external corners and another four hidden underneath. Two of these hidden plastic/rubber contacts have partly worn away unevenly and the whole thing now sits very solidly on the uneven paving slabs. Because we are not going to be moving the step stool from its current position this is not a problem but it does mean that once you have positioned it where it seems right it is best not to move it about..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great half step
We bought this to help my mother (who's 87) and has a knee problem. We have quite a high back door step which she struggled to get over, so I saw this and thought it might help, so I bought one. It was an instant hit and she is now able to get into my house without any trouble at all and in her own words all she says is it's "Champion". A Step in the right direction
Exactly as described - feels rather light but the number of non-slip feet make it stable in the highest winds. perfect step
This is just perfect, the right height for my outside step as it was so deep, now the right drop, will be buying another to put along side as I have a wide door opening, a shame a can not find it in a longer size. all plastic so will not rust, does not move as the rubber stoppers on the bottom stop this, you do not slip on the plastic top as bobbled, I have put a coconut matting on top to wipe your feet and it has not moved.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product!
I ordered two of these half steps to assist me going in and out of the back door and down a steep step in the garden. They are very stable and sturdy. They have made my life much easier as I no longer feel worried going outside. They are wide enough for both feet if necessary but aren’t too wide for a path. Rain should drain through the holes on the top (it hasn’t rained since I bought them so I can’t confirm this!) so there should be no bending down to make water run off, another plus.
