I've had many grinders in my time but the difference between those and the Bosh GWS750 is literally night and day. To start with, the motor packs quite a punch for it's size and it made short work of any job I put it to. The plastic body of the grinder (housing the motor) has thoughtfully been shaped to be ergonomic, making it comfortable to hold and though the the grinder itself still looks kinda chunky, it's deceptively lightweight, making it easy to handle for delicate work. My biggest surprise though, was finding the grinders internal bevel gears seem to be very well made. There is very little play between the gear teeth (known as backlash) and as a result, the gears run as smooth as silk, making it free from the extra noise and vibration I had come to associate with all grinders. All in all I can't recommend the Bosh GWS750 enough, it's low price makes it a plenty affordable option for light DIY and hobbyist use but it also boasts the grunt and quality of a high end professional power tool suitable for a fabrication job shop. Right out of the box the it has been a dream to use and at this price, it's honestly hard to fault. Time will tell how well it holds up with me being such a prolific hobby fabricator but for now, I couldn't be more happy with it.

Great Bosch Tool, But could be so much better...!

Its a good grinder at a great price with the Bosch blue branding, so has to be OK. However, it could be so much better: 1. The disc guard is locked in position with an allen head screw, which makes quick adjustment of position impossible. (my previous Bosch grinder had a quick release clip which allowed rapid and safe adjustment when changing position or type of work). 2. The grinder comes complete with the required allen key riveted at a right angle to the smaller end of the flange nut spanner. In this position it is just so awkward and can provide far too much torque when tightening the screw. Why didn't they fit it so it protruded parallel to the end of the tool so it could be conveniently used like a screwdriver? 3. The large red spindle lock button protrudes a little too far for my liking - could be easily broken if the tool is dropped or put down heavily. Why couldn't it be recessed a little like the previous models and therefore almost impossible to damage or accidentally engage?

  • Bosch standards dropping, only borderline professional tool.

I bought this to replace an ancient Bosch grinder that got a bit wet (!) Weight, revs etc are the same as the last model, but I was disappointed by the quality of the lead.My old tool had lovely flexible, tangle free cable, but Bosch have clearly decided to save pennies with cheaper stuff. Granted, it is better quality than what you see on DIY tools, but it is a step backwards. Similarly they have fitted a very flimsy, light plastic on-off switch, which doesn't look like it could survive many knocks- not what you expect to see on a tool labelled professional. Despite the above it works as well as my last one, and for £44 I'm laughing.

  • Great grinder shame its made in China

Really happy with grinder, brought it to replace a Bosch grinder I've had for many years. The only thing I'm unhappy with is that its made in China, this wasn't obvious when I purchased it as online you can't pick up the box and check for small print. If this is where Bosch now makes its power tools I will probably buy an alternative brand in future.

  • Bosch grinder GWS750

This is my second set of 2, very light for long use and very well balanced and easy to hold, I use them for long duration pretty much evry day as I work with steel they will last me a year but I do hammer them a bit in my work. They have a strong motor so you can put a bit of preasure on them if you need to use a sanding disc which I use mostly, realy good bit of kit for such little money.

  • Brilliant grinder

Had this a couple of months and it's been great. Used for cutting steel, flags, roofing sheets and its been great. Feels well made and we'll designed. Only slight complaint is the button to lock the spindle when changing discs is quite tricky to engage sometimes but a minor issue.

  • Good quality angle grinder, well made and especially for the price paid.

Bosch is known for making good products, the ones rated as "Professional" usually very good. Have not had any problems with them even when used on a daily basis.
