Good looking but deceptive giver of cold shocks!
Well, it is easily fitted, looks neat and has simple controls. Ours is the 7.5kW version as it succeeded a 25 year old Heatrae Sadia that had reached the end of its life and was wired for that wattage. Its settings are mad, crazy and inconvenient. Firstly, whatever level of heat and flow set at time of switching off unless it is no power and full flow of cold water (which means you are soused with cold for a few seconds before switching off) the anti scald sensor cuts off the heating element and when the shower is used again if sprays cold water for up to four minutes before re-setting itself with an audible click. Then, whether the temperature is set to hot or merely warm it will only run for eight minutes or so before the dreaded click is heard and the anti scald cuts off the heating element and it quick;y runs cold and stays cold for three to four minutes before making an audible click again and gradually warming up. So, the workings as supplied and fitted are not really suitable for a family bathroom and would suit a single person without a water meter who is cold tolerant and who can complete a shower in six or seven minutes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
