Seems good once it is installed. We had install issues.
The power and the range seem good. The price is a bit steep and the set up was challenging. Spent over 2 hours trying to get it set up. Finally had to call in Spectrum because it caused the modem to go offline every time we plugged in the router to the network. Finally called Spectrum and they said the modem tested fine but they also experienced the problem and did change out the modem. Can't really determine if the problem was modem or router...but the modem was working fine with my old router so router seemed to have triggered the problem. Tech said that these devices are known to have install issues. After they are up and running, he said, people like them. Don't waste your time and money
Router drops internet from provider literally every other day, requiring reboot to reaquire. The ranger they say is for a very large home. Haha, not hardly. With exception of good speed and tri band my old Asus is much more dependable. Save your time, money and sanity by purchasing something else. Netgear support also leaves much to be desired as they don't have a solution. After reading several threads of people having the same issue I'll be replacing the x6s with something that actually works.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent Router Upgrade for a Great Price!
This is a great router with very wide coverage! I bought this to upgrade our Wi-Fi at church, and it replaced our 2-router setup that I had configured to sorta kinda work, and this has worked so much better than those two combined. I would definitely recommend this, especially if you can utilize the USB port on the back, as well as Gigabit networking, because it is sooooo much better than 100MB networking.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not the best router
This product does not send any stronger signal than the AC1750 I replaced. When using the app to test signal strength, I get a -50 dBm (good) signal at 24" away from the router through an insulated wall. I do not get a "best" signal by being in the room of the router. The signal does not stay steady and causes my extenders to loose signal at 35 feet away. When connected, the speeds are at what I have through my provider. Best router I've ever owned!
All my streaming devices and PC'S work perfectly with this router, even when push to their limits all together for hours, they work flawlessly, no lags. 2 HDHomeruns extend, 2 PCs, 1 Nvidia Shield, 2 Androids phones plugged in to it and just perfection. Great product, though I share in some of the concerns. After having this router for a month or so I had my first connectivity issue, which ultimately resolved itself after a few hours. Great product
Easy to set up, Very intuitive, Covers my whole house which is 1800 sq.ft. and yard. Great product. The only thing it needed for me that it didn't have was 6 ports instead of 4, but I took care of that by adding a small switch.

I did a lot of research before I chose this router. This may or not be the best but I am very happy with it.
I bought this to augment an Asus router I already owned. I collected enough devices that it started to lag and with CoVid-19 I ended up working from home. I knew my work laptop would break the camel's back so I picked up the Netgear. My VPN is far faster at home than the hard-wire is at work. Netgear R8000P provides great wireless coverage!
My old Netgear router didn't support my Vonage IP Phone, so I wanted to finally change the router and not see my VoIP line down half the time. I tried 2 other routers before finally getting the R8000P. The others I tried weren't any better wireless coverage than my original router and my family was complaining. Nice Router
I didn't notice very much of an improvement compared to my last router (the Netgear R7000P) but it seams to be working very well, unlike some of the reviews that I have read online.
