Give years of operation
In domestic heating systems as zone valves or controlling hot water they are ideal and reliable. The valve bodies go on working leak free for years and years I have 3 older ones still working well after 26 years. The power head motor units have shorter life circa 12 to 15 years but are easy and quick to change as just unscrew from valve body without having to remove valve . They can be manually locked in open position to retain open valve until new powerhead fitted.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Buy this 'Original' replacement product
I previously bought an unbranded replacement valve actuator. The mechanism was flimsy and worked for only 3 days before giving up. So I bought instead one of these 'Original Honeywell' product at double the price to try out. It has worked for over 2 weeks so far. Hope it will last. If you ever need to replace your valve head, be sure to buy the genuine article and hopefully it will save you time and money in the long run. In general, the mechanism of all replacement actuator heads on sale are flimsy by design. Soundly made piece of essential plumbing
I bought this valve to replace a very old zone valve which has become unreliable. The new valve looks exactly like the old one, so fitting it should be easy. I don't intend to change the valve until the weather is reliably warm enough not to need the central heating, as it will be out of commission for a while. I can probably repair the old valve, but it is not worth delaying recommissioning of the heating system whilst I fix it.
