Better sound than expected, but headband can be improved.

I did not expect the sound quality of these headphones to be very good and, as I planned to use them primarily for listening to podcasts, I wasn't that concerned. I, however, was surprised at the quality and clarity of the sound and, now, I even use the headphones to listen to music while cycling. While not cycling outdoors, one can place the headphones directly over the ears, which adds clarity, volume, and depth to the frequency range. My major complaint (and the reason for only 4 stars) is that the headband feels insecure during movement (even with the rubber sizing bands included) and someone can easily come up from behind, grab the extruding headband, and rip the phones off your head. An improvement, which should not be difficult to incorporate, would be addition of a ratcheted sizing mechanism, similar to what is available on cycling helmets to assure a tight, secure fit.

Not worth the price, just a gimmick.

Got it for $70, only worth $40 at best. Just a gimmick really. Everything works as described. But the sound is just god awful. It's so bad, i can not bare to use it as it's destroying the music I love. Barely even stereo . Almost zero bass and all treble, like listening out of some cheap free headphones you get from a tour bus! And at least with those you get stereo. Wish I could return these.

  • Cool new tech. Great entry level for this type of headphones.

I was surprised at how well the sound worked on these. This is my first set of bone conduction headphones and I'm a big fan. The battery lasts 6 hours, which is pretty standard for small bluetooth headphones. There is a little bit of squeezing right behind the ears so if you have a larger head like I do, that may be an issue.

  • Trekz Titanium

I really like these bone conduction headphones! I have never been able to find ear bud adapters that would fit my ears. They were constantly working themselves out of my ear canal. It was so frustrating! My son introduced me to this product. They are really comfortable and no one can tell I'm wearing them because they stay hidden under my hair. The only reason for the 4 stars is that I chew gum frequently and the sound is distorted because of movement of my upper jaw joint which moves the headphones where they sit in front of my ears. Would highly recommend these to anyone! 8)

  • They're everything I'd hoped they would be

The subject says it all. Control is simple. They connect via Bluetooth quickly and easily. Battery lasts for all of my rides...longest ride with music was 4.5 hours. Sound quality is ok...which is all one can expect when allowing external sound to mix with the source sound. My only wish is that it had the ability to fast forward or backward....or skip back on tracks.

  • great headphones

I was looking for a new way to listen to music, and i wanted a Bluetooth device. Earbuds tend to cause discomfort to my ears. When I found this headphone setup from aftershocks it was surprising to say the least. I mean headphones that force sound through the outside of my ears you've got to be pulling my leg; but they were not. The sound is clear but the drawback is that you turn em up to high they'll start to vibrate excessively even to the point to where it will cause pain on the out side of your head, the way they are positioned makes it difficult to impossible to lay your head down, they stay on tight when your run, jog or walk though which makes it pretty good for that. Some people have shown damage right after their pulled out of the box but this was not the case for me. Also I have not tested the length of power for the battery but it has shown me that they last a good long time.

  • Comfort and Good Sound

The Trekz Titanium is a good bluetooth headset when used in an environment with average background noise. They are comfortable and provide good sound. Not going into the ear is a real plus both for comfort and possible prevention of hearing loss. It also allows you to hear people speaking to you while they do not hear your music. I use them in the gym with no difficulty. Their bluetooth range is excellent and easily connect every time I use them. The negatives, they do not work well in a noisy environment since they don't go into your ear and will only connect to one bluetooth source at a time, so if you are using a tablet and your smartphone rings, it will not go to the Trekz.

  • Amazing Sound

If you're looking for something to wear all day without been uncomfortable or inconvenient, here you have it. I personally recommend buying 2 if you're an athlete because you will be wanting to wear this before, during and after training. The sound quality is exceptional and they are so confortable that you won't even believe that they are real. I don't know about other people but, since I've been using this, my hearing have improved. Remember, this headset is open, so you can hear your surroundings at the same time you hear your music or call. This is a really good price for a headset with this kind of technology.

  • Definitely something that takes time to get used to

I got these because I get chronic ear infections and wearing headphones can give them to new and make them worse. I also work in an office where I need to be about to hear everyone. These were perfect for me, they are comfortable and the sound is nice. Using them in public was difficult at first getting the volume right but now I used them on the bus and everywhere else. I love these 😍

  • Good for my usage

I bought this Bluetooth headset primarily for listening to music while on my longer bike rides without giving up the ability to hear my surroundings. I did some research online first and this seemed like the way to go. Sound quality is good. Not mind-blowing, but quite good for what I need. I asked my sister to call me while I was on a ride; I could hear her clearly, but she couldn't hear me well at all, but that was due to the road noise/wind noise. I later tried for the speakerphone again while at home, and it was good quality both ways. Fit is decent. Not perfect. My head is on the smaller side and I had to twiddle around with it to get it to sit right while getting used to it. On the first ride it became uncomfortable by about the 1 hour mark. I wear glasses, then the headset, then the helmet straps. The helmet straps seemed to press everything against the head a bit too much. The last ride I did I made sure the headset was on over the helmet straps and it was a lot more comfortable. I think the price is good for the value. I can't yet speak for long range durability though. I will likely only use this on my bike, or on a plane.
