Gun fine, tips don't last
I love soldering guns, better than soldering irons. I've always used Weller but this one seems fine apart from one flaw. The wire tips don't last. I had to replace it after a few minutes because it burned out and went open circuit. Heavy duty copper wire should do the trick after the two replacements burn out you just need to fashion a tip, it's a fact of life with such guns. I bought this to do some auto wiring for which the light is very useful. Takes a few five or ten second trigger presses to warm it up from cold, test it on the solder to see it is hot enough.
