  • Happy as hell with this Mic.

I love this mic -- super clear !! Just a note that it needs a 48v power source if not connected to a large sound board w/48v power. I bought this one : Neewer 1-Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply with Adapter. I am using it with a TC HELICON Voicelive Touch2. This is the mic you need -- buy it !!!

  • Great mic, easy to use and sounds reall good

I had bought the Samson Meteor USB one, and it worked good too, but I realized it is more of a mobile model, not as well designed from home studio use. So, I sent it back and got this one and I am glad I did. I also found the headphone control knob on the Meteor was so tiny it was hard to use. Not so with this one. I definitely recommend.

  • Very good studio condenser mic

Very good mic for the home studio. Not okay for live play because it easily picks up ambient noise, but for what I bought it for, it's very good. Nice highs, mids, and lows, plus it really defines background noise so it's easy to edit out. I'd rate it better than my old standby, the Shure 57, for acoustic guitar recording. Better than a thousand dollar mic? I don't know; I've never had one, but this will do the job.

  • Good mic, great value - no way to lose with this mic

This is a good mic for the price. It is light and had about a 51mm width - get a shock mount for sure. I think this is a very good value and whether you're getting your first mic or just wanted to try something different, like I did, you won't be disappointed for the price this is an excellent piece of kit.

  • Excellent In Multiple Ways

The AT2020 is infinitely superior to any low-to-mid end microphone and far more solidly built than most comparable models; indeed, one of the main problems with any tripod-and-microphone setup for use with a PC or laptop tends to be durability- not audio quality per se. The metal construction of this microphone's tripod alone will resist the kind of topical damage most often done, and while the microphone is thus considerably more heavy than, say, a Meteor or a CAD U37, it isn't so much so that it poses any inconvenience. Unlike some microphones, its light (to indicate it is operational, that is, plugged in) also does not blink when recording- which is a real help for those annoyed by such models.

  • Unbelievable for the price.

I had read about this mic on a few review sites and thought that it was a no-brainer for the price. It cost almost nothing. How bad could it be? Well, it isn't bad. In fact it's great!! I have about 10 mic's in my locker and for MY voice, it is just about perfect. I own the C414, Solid Tube, TLM 102, MXL and a bunch condenser mics. I try them all before I push record and every time I end up choosing the AT2020. It just flatters my voice. I do use a Focusrite Red 6 into an EL-8 distressor and then to the recorder - so I have a high quality vocal chain. But the AT2020 somehow seems to reduce the nasal grainy quality of my voice. I suspect a slight drop around 5 but it does not sound dull. If you have $100 and are not sure if your vocal problems are in your Pre-amp, hold off dropping $1,500 on a new pre and try this mic. I have used it with a Aphex 107 as well and it was just as solid. I don't know how well it will hold up to stacking vocals one on top of the other. I used to double (or triple!) my voice because my voice just sounded bad to me. There is nothing like a harmony or double voice to hide a poor sounding vocal take - but with this mic, I find that a single voice with some compression, a little verb and some delay sits just right in my mix. Weird. And it cost me all of $99. It is enough to make you re-think the line "you get what you pay for".

  • Good performance, good price

I've used the AT 2020 for a few years years before buying one of my own. The sound quality is above average. You can get deep bass on voices and clear high end. Audio Technica knows how to make microphones. It was very easy to use by plugging in the USB cable. If you're looking for a good value to record voiceovers or podcasts, this mic is a great option. I haven't tried recording vocals so I can't speak to that. Overall, a solid mic, built well, with a good tone.

  • Excellent Great Mic,

This mic doesn't have to be right in front of your mount to work. It has excellent quality and I would highly recommend it for your any computer you have.

  • Great product, great price

The Audio Technica AT2020USB Plus microphone is an astoundingly good product. The audio quality is some of the best quality you can get from a USB microphone. You can watch and listen to any video and you'll notice a consistent quality from this device.

  • Class mic and a great budget

I've now used this mic a lot at home doing my recordings. It's really really good. It's was dirt cheap and I personally think it has a better sound than the Neumann I was using before hand. A nice rounds smooth and less sibilant. The clarity is first class and considering the price compared to the Neumann a steal !!
