Does the Job ... But Should Come With The Tool !
The Dust Collection Bag should really come included boxed with the De Walt Planer itself, so this can't be rated as a good value purchase (unless a replacement is being bought). This vital accessory isn't much more than a mesh bag and a plastic head piece, so should never cost this much, but I am sure that De Walt are coining-it with their charge to Re-Sellers through licensing fees etc, I am not too sure about the roustness of the large plastic section, but it hasn't broken yet ! Is plastic really a good idea for Trade Tool Accessories, which are probably going to get 'crunched' during normal toolbox carriage and use ? I'm not expecting it to be a 'lifetime buy', that's for sure ! However, as it's pretty crucial to stop the Planer from spewing out dust and chips like a snow-plough does snow, then the Product works adequately. It should have come with the Tool though ... and the Planer itself is a good tool.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Dewalt dust chip bag
Cheaply made low quality plastic. Don't see this lasting long. Unfortunately Dewalt and many other tool manufacturers are producing poor cheap quality items like this. Delivery was fast, product exactly as described. Wow!...I know it’s hard to get too excited about a dust bag..but I am! Gone are the days of those awkward un-storable bags that are awkward to empty...but this fantastic design is a pleasure to empty! I now work harder (even through my tea breaks) in the hope I will get to fill it up by the end of the day, just to get a chance to empty it out! I was explaining to my wife about it..like my others tools, I might as well be talking to prehistoric man who hasn’t the power of thought or speech. (Just looking back on my review, it’s appears maybe I should take people up on the option of being invited out more). Best one yet
Compresses for storage and the same bellows action means you can pump out the dust, shavings etc or you can just undo it. No jammed zips, the dust bag doesn't sag hanging off a bit of wire like most bags a etc Basically a good design. Obviously not as effecient as a vacuum attachment but by far the best dustbag and if you buy some hose adapters you can use for lots of other power tools.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

best dustbag out there
i came across this style of dustbag some years ago, and i haven't found one that matches it. the chip collection capacity is no hindered by a floppy cloth that doesn't fully open out or a zip that snags. the twist and release function can be a little tricky with gloves on, but it is still by far the best dust back for a planer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
