  • Unique gadget!

This is one of those must have tools that you rarely need, but when you do, it's essential! It's a hybrid of a crowfoot wrench and an adjustable (Monkey/Crescent for North Americans like me) wrench. I used it to tighten some hard to reach plumbing fittings that required a 23mm crowfoot wrench, which is not a standard size. My only other choice would have been to grind a millimeter off a 7/8" wrench to make a custom size. However, with a 12" long 3/8" extension bar, this did the job. One bonus is that the jaws tighten as you rotate the tool, so it grips tighter, with less chance of slipping or rounding off the nut (A concern with brass plumbing fittings). A few minor niggles: - The teeth of the rotating "gear" only engage a couple of millimeters of the teeth on the sliding jaw, so I'm not sure this would be strong enough to shift a really rusted bolt. I suppose you could use the larger 1/2" drive model for that. - It comes off the extension bar a bit too easily; there should be an indentation inside the socket, to engage the spring loaded ball on the end of the extension bar, like there is in most socket wrenches. It wasn't a problem for me because I was using it upside down under a sink, but it could be a problem if it dropped off into the far reaches of a car engine. I suppose you could grind a small slot yourself. - The head is a bit larger than a regular crowfoot wrench, which might be a problem in a tight spot, but that's a trade off with the adjustable feature. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Overall a useful tool that I would recommend.

  • Not good !!

Poorly made, ( may-be i got a bad unit ) Gears slipped passed each other when only a small force applied.

  • Not fit for purpose

The gears slip, the tool is unable to take the torque required to loosen the fitting.
