Beat expensive hearing aids
I have tried many different brands of expensive hearing aids, they all make me feel uncomfortable wearing them. But this inexpensive Sonic Super Ear SE 5000 really works. It filters out most background noice. The sound I want to hear come out very clear. It is small and easy to carry. I take it off when I don't need the help. Very good at church and small group conversation. Like it so much I bought another for spare. The only cons is the clip with no spring action. It is hard to use. El Cheapo

It raises the volume and helps improve quality of life to one who is hearing impaired.
My 93 year father has had hearing problems for most of his life. While spending about a month in rehab, he was provided with a Superear Se5000 Personal Sound Amplifier, which allowed him to hear better than he had in years (better than his first set of in-canal hearing aids ever was able to do). I purchased a unit for him, so that upon release, he would be able to hear well enough until his hearing is evaluated, and he is fitted with hearing aids. The Superear unit is easy to operate. There is only one control, a wheel like that of a small transistor radio, perfect for one who is "electronically challenged" as my father is. The 1 AAA battery lasts for a long time before needing to be changed. I tested the Superear unit on myself, and found that not only does it it raise the volume of sound significantly, but it does so in a way that does not cause feedback or other noises that would be annoying to the user.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great headphones...

Worked great for my elderly grandmother

My Brother Loves Theses
My brother is very hard of hearing. He has but will not wear his hearing aids he says because he has trouble changing the little batteries. So, we have to shout at him. When he was in the hospital, the nurses gave him these to put on and he had no trouble at all hearing them. The nurse said these could be purchased by individuals so I searched and found these. My brother loves these. He does not feel self conscious about them at all. The over the head works great, but he said the over the ears didn't give as much volume as the over the head. Mom finally understands me.
My mom is VERY hard of hearing. I have had to yell or talk very loud (which gets exhausting) to her when asking questions and she still would not understand what I said. We do not have conversations. With the SuperEar SE5000 I use the microphone to talk directly into it. She has finally been able to understand what I am asking (what a huge help). Like the fact that it is battery operated as opposed to charging. Easier to change a battery vs waiting for it to charge. Like the fact it has two different kinds of headsets. Had purchased a different product and the ear pieces would not stay in her ears and I was not happy with the microphone set up.
