  • A great historical perspective.

This is of relevance if you are a Photographer using film. It has some relevance to digital photography but not much. The most useful aspect is the insight to the genius of Ansel Adams himself. He was a totally committed individual from a different age. The information has value for those who have an advanced darkroom and wish to produce great prints from great negatives that were captured to suit the methods of manipulation that were available to the accomplished darkroom expert. There is nothing to inform the modern digital darkroom user really. Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture one etc. were not even a twinkle on the Horizon when this book was concieved of, and written.
