Margery Mason was born in Hackney in 1913. She's been acting for seventy six years and is still happily at it. At fourteen she joined her mother's company, playing Working Men's Clubs in London's East End. There followed a lifetime of rep, West End, films, radio, ENSA in the Middle East during the War, Panto, resident playwright / director in universities in America and Sweden, a rather bizarre and short-lived marriage, The Actors' Company, the RSC, everything but stand-up, before she settled into television, notably for nine years in 'Peak Practice' as the redoubtable Alice North. She's had six plays given production in rep, fringe and radio, but this is her first book. You can see her as a trolley lady in 'Harry Potter'.Product Identifiers
