Good product that has room for improvement
The head torch detaches quite easily from the head strap which is great, a small modification such as a small metal plate in conjunction with a magnet too the back of the casing would give this item more uses,,, The item is made and constructed to the great standard of the brand. The double switch option is great and works well allowing easy operation, however the unit can be switched on accidentally whilst in carriage.. May be Ridgemonkey could design a pouch that would stop this ?? The green led option and white flood with high/low power function is excellent. The spot light function is perfect when you need a directional spot light.. And it truly is dazzling... Charging is simple and battery consumption is great with a visual blue led display that can be seen when activating a press button on the side of the unit. I have used this item recently on a 48hr overnight session and the led display hadn’t dropped...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I must have a small head
I was really pleased when this arrived, and then I tried it on. Now, I'm a 41yo bloke that doesn't have a small head but when they made this they must of used the biggest model head to create the strap. Great headtorch. All the settings are great ,with various levels of brightness to suit any situation,the green light is also very good. Battery lasts well,quick and easy to charge via USB connection. Only gave it four stars for two reasons,but both relate to same issue,doesn't come with a case or pouch which would of been great,which then leads into the next point which is sometimes I get it out of my bag and it's on where the on /off button has been accidentally pressed. Mechanic torch.
I'm a mechanic and have several of these torches. As only last about 7hrs when in use. But still the best I have found. No motion detection to go off when working at head hieght. Three levels of light. Two are really useful mid light for paperwork and where you just need a bit more light. High for when you really need to see in good detail. I high focus beam with a good side spread. Plus never struggle to get it shinning on the right spot or leave it behind. A good but not cheap headtorch. Really good battery life and obiously no battery costs. I think a case of some description is vital as the 3 buttons could switch on and off in transit. Slightly bulky once on your head.
