Easy to use and set up - good no nonsense action
Winter. Slippy roads, icy, dark damp. Great for the "Hero" cyclists but for those of us who don't like the ideas of slipping and sliding about out there a turbo is the way.
Reading up it seems that Fluid action is better than Magnetic. Generally more expensive too.
Enter this little beauty.
It works. It runs smoothly. It was all there. It included a skewer for the wheel, and a front wheel chock.
It was delivered quickly. In fact delivered before they told me it was on its way.
And it was super value cheap.
If it stops me falling off my bike once in the bad wether it will have paid for itself! Its pretty compact and seems not too noisy. It'll fit a 26" wheel as well as a 700cc, so my wife no has desires on me fitting it to her bike too.......
I have only used for a couple of workouts now, and can see the benefits of keeping my legs spinning in the winter break. Works fine. You will need to have a cycle computer that works on a stationary bike to record and see what you do.
I'm sure spending 5 times the price will get you an appreciably better machine to suit the Pro cyclists. To me it seems much the same as trainers at double the price. At this price point I think you would be hard pressed to fault this product. And if you where a "Hero" cyclist you would be training out on the road anyway......
