  • A wonderful wonderful read 😁

I first read Shogun, as a paperback, nearly 40 years ago, it is a wonderful, engrossing and emmersive read. I have purchased a hardback copy from World of Books, because it is a book I can see myself reading in the future. The condition of the book was as described in the eBay listing, communication was clear, without being excessive and the book arrived in the expected time. I have read it through and experienced the wonderful vistas of Japan, as I did in my teens, though I saw things that had eluded me so long ago, so I am very happy with the content of this wonderful book and will again return to it. On a somewhat different theme, I think it appropriate to comment about the social good that is a consequence of World of Books activities, firstly making a contribution to recycling, old books can still be read! without the need to reprint, and hence helps the environment. Secondly in these days of library closures, literature is made available to all, at really very good prices. Those reading this review may think I say too much, or maybe I am an stooge reviewer, which I am absolutely not, I just feel there is something that is unique to the tactile, cognitive and emotional experience that a finely writing book offers, which online content just does not offer, for me. I look forward to many future purchases. Regards Pete
