  • Starting point to convince yourself of the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of laughter for all.

Norman Cousins, a layman, was one of the first to bring to light the power of laugher in aiding healing and recovery. He wrote this book decades ago and, even though there are clown doctors and nurses in almost all hospitals in America and many on mainland Europe, we're very slow to catch up. Laughter is the best medicine in many cases. Won't cure terminal illness, but has been clinically proved to ease pains, aid better sleep and put the patient in a calmer state of mind. People bond over laughter. It's written like he's having a one to one conversation with the reader. A very interesting, illuminating and informative piece of work.

An extraordinary book that although was written in the 70s is extraordinarily insightful and current for today’s times. Norman Cousins was ahead of his time. Loving it
