Has to be one of the best book series for learning Japanese. Unlike other books of its type, very user friendly and great for all ages of learner. Built in workbook to reinforce progress. Gradually teaches all 3 writing systems as you go, including how to write each character and writing practice spaces. The author has a very good Youtube channel to complement the books plus a Website. Highly recommended.

This Japanese self-teaching book was written by a non-native Japanese speaker unlike other Japanese textbooks. As the author himself was a learner of Japanese originally, the book has the methods and structures which learners understand better.
