Containing prose that can often soar to wonderfully original heights, it is as mischievous as it is misanthropic, and all the more masterful for it. Yet he can scarcely see the point in anything anymore and has just about had enough of it all, with his life poised on the cusp of a major change.

  • Great book, Made you want to live similar lifestyle.

Read this book not long after it first came out and it became a bit of a cult book. Thought it was great. Bought this copy for a relative to read. Well worth reading. Read the sequel, "The Search for the Diceman" but didn't match the first. Second hand book but in great condition. Good value from the seller.

  • AA A FabFabulous ReadAA A

I love this book, and was recently talking about it to a friend. She liked the sound of it, and so I said I would get her a copy. It is a really great read, and a little bit scary, in how life can flip, or in the case of this book somersault!

  • Transgressive Fiction's Halfway point

This clearly is the halfway point in 20th Century Transgressive fiction. It pays beautiful homage to Raskolnikov and his varying dilemmas in Crime and Punishment but one sees lucid traces of Dice Man's cult in later Transgressive 20th century works such as American Psycho, Fight Club, Choke, Porno and others in that vain. Entertaining and compelling from the start but puzzling at the end. A classic in it's own right and one for the dark humorists out there. Give your screen a break. Take a chance on the dice. 4.5 out 5!

  • Easiest read ever.

Hilarious, filthy and absurd. Very well written yet with an unorthodox format. Such an easy read, i think there were maybe two or three 'quiet' pages in the whole book.

  • One of my top three all time reads.

Of all the books that say 'This book will change your life', this one actually did.

  • Not for the faint hearted.

A 'cult' novel from the 70's. More unorthodox than Catch 22. Shocking, thought provoking
